Wedding Photography Services

A beautifully finished wedding album is a priceless reminder of a unique event.

Having a professional photographer attend your wedding is more than just a means of recording the event but should capture the joy and excitement of the day and should not be too obtrusive or time consuming.

When photographing a wedding we are normally accompanied by an assistant, who will, with the help of the Best Man or ushers organise the groups so that the photo-call can run smoothly and quickly. 
Depending on the size of the wedding and the type of photography required the time allocated for photographs should be between half an hour and one and a half hours. 
By enlisting the help of some members of the wedding party, group photographs can be arranged quite quickly without having to wait too long for each group to be organised.
  
Generally we work to a photography list that includes all the the traditional group photographs and any that have been specifically requested.

During the day we will also take some informal photographs if requested although for some of our wedding photography services, informal or "reportage" photographs are an integral part of the service.

We also offer a service whereby an additional photographer attends all or part of the day to take informal photographs in colour or black and white. 

We believe that the artistic composition and creativity of our images speak for themselves and is derived from our photographicexpertise and experience. But the clarity, sharpness and colour fidelity of our images is a result of professional Nikon and Canon cameras in expert hands combined with our post processing of RAW files on our editing suite before sending them to our laboratory.

These same high standards are applied to our videography producing creatively shot and sympathetically edited DVDs.We use only professional Sony and Canon widescreen video cameras which produce colour rich and sharp video with fantastic sound quality edited on our NLE editing suite.


We offer wedding gift vouchers which are an excellent gift for the Bride and Groom and can be redeemed against albums or additional photographs.

Below are comprehensive details of various wedding services to suit a range of budgets and requirements. These are for guidance only and can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

Includes a range of group, family and individual photographs of the Bride and Groom. A minimum of 100 photographs are taken and presented in a proof book and on a proof CD for you to keep. From these photographs you can select 20 — 8” x 6” prints. This service does not include an album. We can also attend the brides home before the wedding and the reception after to photograph the Bride and Groom with the wedding cake.

From your proofs you can select 40 — 10” x 8” prints in colour or black and white which are mounted on luxury leaves and overlays and placed in your Spicer Hallfield wedding album.

We will take a minimum of 200 photographs which are presented in a proof book and on a proof CD for you to keep.
The photographs include traditional group and some reportage, capturing those informal activities, guests and the finer details of your wedding.
From your proofs you can select up to 60 images to be included in your album, creatively designed with your guidance onto 30 — 12” x 8” prints.
Photographs can be in colour or black and white.
These are mounted in an A4 (13” x 11”) luxury book bound album with personalised title page.

A minimum of 500 photographs are taken and these are presented in a proof book and on a proof CD for you to keep.

This service does not include an album.

Our Freestyle service is designed for our Book Bound albums, GraphiStudio and Story Books, which contain between 70 and 120 images.

After you collect your proofs and at your leisure you can decide which type of album to purchase or you can purchase the complete set of high resolution photographs.

WEDDING SERVICE & PHOTO-CALL

Designed for Register Offices a Licensed Venues.

At the front of the DVD we place the titles for your wedding accompanied by our introductory wedding music. Recording starts with the arrival of guests and the wedding party followed by the wedding ceremony, vows and exchange of rings. We record the photo-call and again add music if requested. The recording finishes once the confetti has been thrown and the newly married couple leave for their reception. Concluding the video we add a final music track and titles with the location of the ceremony. This service includes one fully edited DVD presented in a personalised case.

Concluding the video we add a final music track with video stills taken during the day.

This service includes two fully edited and authored DVD‘s presented in personalised cases.

Some of your questions regarding Wedding photography may be answered below.

01 Who will be photographing my wedding?
Unless otherwise agreed David along with an assistant will be the photographer at your wedding. We do have two other qualified and experienced photographers who cover weddings for us during busy periods mainly at Langtons House in Hornchurch but also cover other venues. Our photographers are trained in our style, method of working and adhere to our same high standards of photographic excellence.

02 What happens if David or our photographer is ill on the day of our wedding?
As well as having photographers who work for us we can call on the assistance of a number of local professional wedding photographers.

03 What happens if we want to cancel our booking?
The first thing we require is a letter / email confirming that the booking is to be cancelled. The booking deposit is non-refundable.

04. Can we change the date of our booking?
Yes, subject to availability. To transfer your booking we require written confirmation and a non-refundable transfer fee of £30 to cover administration costs.

05. How long does the photo session last on the day?
It depends on the type of wedding service you have booked with us and the type of photography you require. The photo-call for smaller weddings would be half an hour to forty five minutes. For some of our larger wedding services the photo-call would be between an hour and fifteen minutes to two hours.
We provide a photography shot list for all our wedding services which lists the group and family photographs we would take and any additional photographs you require.
We are always pleased to take any additional requests on the day, but by working to a list we can keep the photo-call running smoothly.

06. How long before we see the pictures after the wedding?
We photograph using professional digital SLR cameras and all photographs are taken using RAW format for the best possible quality. Shooting in RAW format requires anything from 4 to 16 hours post production and preparation after which the photographs are proofed onto photographic paper at our laboratory. Depending on work load with us and at our lab, proofs are normally ready between one week and ten days after your wedding.

07 How many photographs will I have to choose from?
This depends on the photography service you have chosen. The amount given for each of our services are normally a minimum and we would generally supply more. For photographs of smaller groups, for example bride and groom with parents, we may supply one full length and one half length photograph. We normally take a number of photographs of each setup so that we have the flexibility to take out the photographs with eyes shut or unfortunate expressions.

08 Can you supply proofs and prints at our reception?
We certainly have the equipment to be able to do this, but do not offer this service as this would require taking photographs in "Jpeg" format which we believe is inferior to photographing using RAW. It would also require the use of either an inkjet or dye sublimation printer, which again we believe is inferior to photographs printed on traditional photographic paper.

09. Can we have any Black and White pictures?
Some of our photographic services include your choice of Black and white or colour photographs. Our smaller wedding photography services as standard are in colour, but we can convert photographs to black and white for a small additional cost.

10. Are there any hidden extras costs?
All prices are fully inclusive of photography, album (depending on the service chosen) and local travelling.

11 Are you a full-time photographer?
David is a full time professional photographer and videographer and also teaches photography part time. Any photographers or videographers who work for us may not be full time professionals but are qualified and experienced.

12 Do you have Insurance.
We have full Public Liability to 2 million pounds, Professional Indemnity and Employers Liability.
